CACT runs in excess of 150 football and multisport courses across 13 weeks of the year in the Royal Borough of Greenwich, London Borough of Bexley, London Borough of Bromley and across parts of Kent and East Sussex.
Running every holiday break, the courses vary from week long to three days and to one day fun days, including goalkeeper and girls only courses. The days generally run from 10am-3pm and are open to boys and girls aged 5-15.
Children are coached in their age groups, with the morning of the courses being devoted to coaching, then the afternoon devoted to fun and games.
6,000 children attend the courses each year, with parents choosing them for the following reasons:
- For their quality coaching in structured sessions to improve footballing ability
- To improve confidence and social skills
- To keep kids fit and healthy over the holidays
The community scheme at Charlton Athletic has been delivering football sessions for youngsters since 1992.
All CACT coaches hold FA or UEFA coaching qualifications, have attended Safeguarding & First Aid training and had DBS checks and references carried out.
As a registered charity, all proceeds go back into CACT's community work too.
