This summer around 1000 young people aged 15-17 will be taking part in the NCS programme run by Charlton Athletic Community Trust (CACT) across South East London and Kent. NCS is a 3 or 2 week programme designed to help young people become more rounded individuals by building their confidence and developing life skills.

The 3 week programme involves a week away at an outdoor activity centre doing all the fun activities that you would expect, High Rope, Low Ropes, Raft building and Rock Climbing, followed by a week of engaging workshops hosted daily in the local community . After this, the participants will plan and deliver a social action project of their design.

The 2 week programme consists of a week of engaging workshops, and a week of social action – it doesn’t havea residential week.

To help deliver this exciting programme, CACT is looking for enthusiastic and committed applicants to work in the role of Assistant Team Leader. Assistant Team Leaders will work alongside a Team Leader to help guide a team of 12-16 young people through their NCS experience.
