Salary: 15 or 21 Day Summer Programme: up to £1,900
Contract Type: Full-Time
Closing Date: 03/04/2020

This summer around 1500 young people aged 15-17 will be taking part in the NCS programme run by Charlton Athletic Community Trust (CACT) across South East London and Kent. NCS is a 3/4 week programme designed to help young people become more rounded individuals by building their confidence and developing life skills.

The programme involves a week away at an activity camp followed by a week on site at a prestigious university. After this, the participants will then return to their local communities to plan and deliver a social action project of their design.

To help deliver this exciting programme, CACT is looking for enthusiastic and committed applicants to work in the role of Assistant Wave Leader. Assistant Wave Leaders will be responsible for the day-to-day running of every phase of the programme, the management and guidance of delivery staff/volunteers and the pastoral care and personal development of participants.

Suitable candidates will need to be highly motivated and confident in their ability to organise, lead and encourage others. Applicants must also be flexible and willing to work with others in order to achieve the best outcome for participants.

NCS is an experience of a lifetime that has the potential to change a young person’s outlook and future. As an Assistant Wave Leader, you will therefore get the chance to inspire the youth of today by acting as a positive role model. To help achieve this goal, CACT will provide training and support to help all successful candidates excel in their role.
