Charlton Athletic Community Trust's (CACT) Post-16 Academy is running a series of trials from January to July aimed at prospective candidates for September 2018.
The trials will take place at four venues across the Royal Borough of Greenwich: Shooters Hill College, Blackfen Girls School, Corelli College in Kidbrooke and Charlton Athletic’s Sparrows Lane Training Ground in New Eltham.
All sessions are from 2pm to 4pm.
The post-16 Academy has an excellent record at producing first-team players.
Overall, CACT’s football courses have brought through 27 players who have gone on to play professionally. These include Rob Elliot, Harry Arter and Karlan Ahearne-Grant, who has scored five goals in his last five starts for Charlton’s first-team.
Sean Daly, CACT’s Head of Football and Sports Development, said:
“We’re looking forward to welcoming post-16 Academy triallists over the next few weeks.
“The next intake will start in September 2018, and we encourage anyone interested in combining football development with a two-year, full-time education course to consider applying.”
