DONATE A COAT THIS WINTER

Charlton Athletic Community Trust (CACT) and the Charlton Athletic squad are backing the Donate a Coat campaign this winter and are urging all fans to help as well.

The idea behind the project is quite simple. CACT wants people to donate their unwanted coats to help spread the warmth to those less fortunate through the winter months. Recent research shows that more than 1.2 million people over 60 in the UK agree that having a warm coat is a good thing during that period.

The appeal is aimed at encouraging people to rediscover their community spirit, without the financial burden.

The campaign is being back by Charlton Athletic Football Club, with the club giving away a free ticket, for the CAFC fixture vs Bristol Rovers on January 2nd at The Valley, to those that donate a coat.

CAFC player Ricky Holmes, said, “I think it’s a great campaign and all of us here at Charlton are supporting it. It’s a chance to look through the wardrobe and give away something that will mean a lot more to someone less fortunate than us.”

To donate your coat and to claim your free ticket, please drop it into Valley Central, below the North-West Stand at The Valley between 9.00am-4.00pm, Monday to Friday.
