WOMEN'S PREVIEW | Charlton v Bristol City

Charlton Athletic Women will be looking to secure their third straight home win on Sunday when they welcome Bristol City to The Oakwood in Crayford (2pm).

Karen Hills’ side have won both of their home games so far this season, and will be wanting to extend that 100% home win record to three.

The Addicks won their last league game in style against Watford at Vicarage Road on Saturday, October 2nd. A goal from Anna Filbey and a hat-trick from Elise Hughes wrapped up all three points and a clean sheet for Karen Hills’ side.

Bristol also come into the game having won their last league fixture, beating Sunderland 2-1. The Robins currently sit seventh in the FA Women’s Championship, two placed behind the Addicks having played one more league fixture.

Lauren Smith’s side have played five games, losing three, drawing one and winning one. Meanwhile the Addicks sit in fifth spot, having won three out of their four league fixtures so far.

A win for Charlton could take them top of the table with a game in hand over the majority of teams.
