Charlton Athletic Community Trust (CACT) and the University of Greenwich have launched an exciting new qualification for individuals with a passion for sport, as participants or coaches, who wish to pursue a career in community sport.
The two-year Foundation Degree could also be of keen interest to students with a background of work with young people.
It will be led by PE and Sport University-based staff alongside specialist staff from CACT, which will provide a range of placements and work-based learning opportunities.
There will be a focus on both theoretical and practical skills, working to improve students’ employability skills for a range of sport-related careers.
Students will be based at Avery Hill with access to a range of indoor and outdoor sports facilities, and some sessions taking place on site with CACT.
CACT’s award-winning work in sports and education across south-east London and Kent make it a great partner to provide students with on-the-ground experience alongside the expertise from University staff.
