Women's and Girls' Football

CACT delivers one girls only session per week in the London Borough of Bexley at Crook Log Leisure Centre for girls aged 7-11.

Delivered by a CACT coach and one Charlton Athletic Women first team player, the session is delivered following CACT's Charlton Challenge curriculum which is a structured and progressive scheme aiming to develop children’s core movement and football skills. It is designed to create maximum enjoyment and involvement, while also helping young footballers to realise their full potential. All Charlton Challenge sessions are delivered over 12 to 16 weeks three times a year at your local leisure centre. If any of the young female players show signs of great technical ability, good game understanding and excellent movement skills, they may be asked to attend our girls regional talent centre delivered within the Charlton Athletic Women setup.

CACT also hopes to be successful in delivering a girls Post 16 Football & Education Academy in the near future. More information on upcoming trial days and open evenings will be available from September 2020.
