The Extra Time Hub is one of the CACT programmes that will continue to run from 5 November. For more information about CACT's Extra Time Hub, email firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Extra Time Hub is not currently running in its normal format at The Valley due to the Covid-19 pandemic. CACT is, however, running a weekly singalong session with musician Joe Hawson during the usual slot on Wednesdays from 10am-12pm.
Extra Time is also collaborating with CACT’s Premier League Primary Stars programme, with young people writing letters to elderly residents who are having to self isolate.
Charlton Athletic Community Trust's (CACT's) Extra Time Hub is a chance for those aged 55+ to get together once a week to take part in a wide variety of activities, from curling to singing for health and exercise to music. The aim of the hub is bringing together retired and semi-retired people to engage them in active ageing. Whatever it is you want to do, there is something for everyone.
The programme, which runs on Wednesday mornings, is funded by the EFL Trust, Sport England and the National Lottery.
Linda Gray, CACT's Extra Time Hub Activator, who was previously a participant, said:
"We go on a Wednesday and there's lots of things to do. If you've got time, please come along - you will enjoy it.
"You'll meet new people, you can chat to new people; even if you are on your own, you can come and we'll make you welcome."
Come along each Wednesday from 10am, at The Valley, Charlton, Floyd Road, SE7 8BL
It's 10am-12pm on Wednesdays and £3 a session or £10 a month
