The smoking cessation programme Charlton Athletic Community Trust (CACT) delivers is not currently running in its normal format due to COVID-19, but there are a range of ways we are keeping in touch with participants, including a weekly Zoom call.
Everyone living in the Royal Borough of Greenwich registered with a Greenwich GP wanting to quit smoking is eligible for the free stop smoking service.
There is currently no in person support, however, meetings and referrals can still take place over the phone, and there is a weekly Zoom call facilitated by stop smoking advisors on Saturdays at 11am.
The weekly call supports clients as well as helping clients support each other to quit smoking. Requests for Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT) such as patches or for Champix (Varenicline) can also be made during the session.
For more information about the sessions, please email email@example.com.
Those who wish to quit smoking can call the Greenwich Community Hub on 0800 470 4831 for a referral. All NRT products are currently being delivered regardless of self-isolating status. CACT aims where possible to deliver products the same day as requested.
